Congratulations to Prof. Qi Dou and Prof. Wei-Hsin Liao on Receiving Prestigious RGC Fellowships

CUHK T Stone Robotics Institute congratulates Prof. Wei-Hsin Liao and Prof. Qi Dou on receiving prestigious fellowships under the Research Grants Council (RGC) Fellowship Schemes.

Prof. Wei-Hsin Liao, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, has been awarded the RGC Senior Research Fellowship for his project, "Auxetic Structures for Energy Harvesting and Absorption."

Prof. Qi Dou, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has received the RGC Research Fellowship for her project, "Advancing Robotic Surgery Autonomy from Basic Actions to Complex Manipulations in Dynamic Endoscopic Environments."

The RGC Fellowship Schemes support outstanding scholars in pursuing ambitious, high-impact research that strengthens Hong Kong's position as a global hub for innovation and scientific excellence.

Through these fellowship projects, Prof. Liao and Prof. Dou will further strengthen research in advanced engineering and intelligent robotics, contributing to scientific discovery and the development of technologies with a broad societal impact.
